I truly love the way gold foiling looks on invitations and save the dates, but…
Foiling can be costly, especially when you have more than one design that needs to be set up for foiling.
DIY Foiling is also another option, but the outcome is never truly 100% perfect.
So, I have conquered the website again to show you how you can have gold added to your invites without the use of foiling.
Oh So Beautiful Paper explains how you can Gold Emboss your cards with the use of a rubber stamp (create your custom stamp with me), Gold Stamp Ink, Gold Embossing Powder and finally using a heat tool to heat up the embossing powder to your stamp design.
A blow dryer is not recommended. You can contact your local scrap booking store for this tool.
USE GOLD ADHESIVE/CONTACT PAPER
Mountain Modern Life suggests gluing your invitations to gold adhesive paper. This is super cost effective and you can get a range of adhesive papers in many colours and metallic sheens.
USE A GOLD LEAFING PEN
Minted suggests using a gold leafing pen on the edges of your cards.
Gold markers are also a great way to add gold to your stationery (especially if you have great penmanship!).
USE GOLD PAPER FOR BANDING OR FOR YOUR ENVELOPE LINERS
This is especially great and crafty, so contact me if you require the above methods for your wedding stationery.
I also offer heat press foiling for your convenience if your budget allows it.
